3.20 Program Support

FDE Prime Contracts: N61339-03-C-0102 (Zone 4), N61339-02-D-0001 (Zones 4 & 6) and F42630-03-D-0006 (Zone 6). FDE has a well defined and disciplined financial management system, together with the technical expertise to support planning, organizing, staffing, controlling, and leading team efforts in managing our programs. FDE uses MS Project© to generate, track and calculate the total cost of program schedules and for program financial accounting we use Quick Books Pro©. Quick Books Pro supports every type of contract including Cost Reimbursable (CPFF, CPAF, and CPIF), Fixed Fee, and Time and Materials. It is fully interactive with our Program Management System and provides managers with the full task and cost control functions required to properly manage and report on program costs. Quick Books Pro tracks direct costs by element including direct labor, direct materials, subcontracts, travel and other direct costs (ODC). The accounting system tracks indirect costs, which are then accumulated in various pools, distributed, and allocated to the respective contracts. FDE's accounting system is audited annually and is approved by the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
