3.17 Supply and Provisioning Support

FDE Prime Contract: F42630-00D-0253 (Zones 4 & 6). FDE provides on-call maintenance and configuration support for United States Air Force MC-130H Talon II Avionics Subsystem Trainer (AST) locations in the U.S. and abroad. The purpose of the AST trainers is to provide maintenance personnel with essential operational checkout and troubleshooting experience on aircraft avionics systems. As the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contractor, FDE provides all levels of maintenance, supply support, and material management for the AST. Specifically, FDE is responsible for returning the trainer to a serviceable condition within a maximum of 72 hours after receiving official notice of a service request. FDE implemented a 24-hour, toll free voice messaging system so that on-site personnel can quickly report any malfunctions that affect training capabilities. In addition to maintaining the AST, FDE is responsible for the Recompetition Support Package (RSP), which consists of spares, Support Equipment (SE), and technical data.
