3.15 Measurement Facilities, Range, and Instrumentation Support

ASC Prime Contract: N00167-03-F-0033 (Zone 4). ASC has provided support to the NSWC South Florida Testing Facility and the South Florida Ocean Measurement Center, which included coordinating installation of ocean instrumentation valued at several million dollars. We also provided project management support for a NAVSEA-funded program to build two new DDG radar cross-section measurement ranges and are responsible for all aspects of conducting the demonstration trials, including logistic support, agenda preparation, and reporting.

CSC Subcontract: N00244-03-C-0004 (Zone 6). CSC has been the sole operator of SCORE since operations commenced in 1985. CSC operates, maintains, and provides engineering; installs range participant tracking pods; and operates and maintains the antisubmarine warfare (ASW) range and Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment located at San Clemente Island, CA. CSC developed specialized range software for use in the data center and the range operations control center; and tests and documents the Tactical Mission Analysis System (TACMAS). CSC supports other instrumented operating and related facilities, which support the range electronic warfare simulator.
